Using residual materials and conserving natural resources - these are just two of the cornerstones on the way to a sustainable and bio-based economy. However, novel green ideas in the bioeconomy need support to grow and succeed in the marketplace. This is where the start-up competition "PlanB- Biobased.Business.Bavaria" comes into play. The competition has been organized by BioCampus Straubing GmbH since 2014 and is supported by a broad partner and sponsoring network. In addition to the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology, companies such as Evonik, the specialty chemicals group Clariant, the feed producer DoFu and the High-Tech Gründerfonds are among the supporters.

Presenting ideas on film

On May 7th the third round of PlanB has started. Once again, the game is on for promising business ideas by start-ups and innovators from all over Germany, who are committed to a sustainable and bio-based economy and are involved with green products, technologies, processes or services. The projects can be submitted in the form of short sketches, but also by film, online via PlanB's website until August 14th.
